Tour Plan

1
DAY 1 – PERISHER – GUTHEGA
We will start our day towards the resorts of Perisher and Smiggins to shoot stunning waterfalls. There will be many beautiful gums and interesting landscapes. Lunch will be at Perisher in the pub where you will be able to cool down and get some rest. For the afternoon we will travel back up the road and to Guthega to hopefully find some wildlife such as wombats, echidnas and brumbies and to photograph more interesting scenes around the Guthega Dam and the surrounding mountain streams.
2
DAY 2 – KIANDRA
We will make our way to some hidden local areas that are never photographed by other tours. We will head out to the Tuross Cascades to photograph waterfalls and rivers. In terms off wildlife we can usually expect to see a mob or two of Brumbies while we are here We will enjoy a packed lunch in Kiandra amongst the natural paradise. Autumn is a time where you can get really low cloud and soft incredible light, there are so many locations in Kiandra that suit this weather. Luke will show the “local specials” that exist within Kiandra and explain the important historic relevance of the area to the Snowy Mountains. We then head back to have dinner and to prepare for the next day.
3
DAY 3 – CASCADE VALLEY
We will head up the road in the morning past Thredbo and into the famous Cascade Valley, home to the legend of Silver brumby and his descendants. Luke will do his best to try and find us some brumbies. Other things of interest will be amazing gums and the headwater of the Thredbo river. Lunch will be at Thredbo just back down the road. The afternoon we will travel back up the road and hike to the Ramshead for sunset. The Ramshead has many amazing scenes along the way with large granite rock formations overlooking the main range and the Cascade Valley.

DAY 4 – CHARLOTTE’S PASS
Today will be a day of exploration into the area where the most incredible snow gums in Australia are. Luke will show you the areas where the best gums are. As we stated before it is not unusual to get some low cloud/fog to make the real magic of the area come to life. If you’re a snow gum enthusiast there is no better place in Australia to see them, this will be a great way to finish the day.
5
DAY 5 – HOME
We may shoot a sunrise somewhere then it will be back for breakfast to say our goodbyes.
